My friend is wondering if she should do an anti candida diet. She is just trying to work out a few things as she is in the process of trying to find answers as to why she has been seriously ill and bed ridden for over 3 years. She has a lot of health issues with severe malabsorption being one of them. As for candidiasis, she doesnt know for sure if she has it but due to her history of overuse of antibiotics and her “tummy troubles” she gathers that she does. A friend has no idea how she has come in contact with mercury, which is suspected as the main reason to her candida overgrowth. She had a flu shot 2 years ago when she first got sick. She has had a mercury thermometer break on her and she eats a lot of fish. Other than that, she has no other clue. All she knows is she feels like she is dying and then stopping her thyroid medications because they have made her deathly ill ever since she started them. Stopping them is killing her. She has felt this way every time she adjusted her dose. She hopes she made the right decision to stop them. She is now wondering if the mercury had anything to do with her intolerance to the medications. She hopes her thyroid will be ok and something else caused the thyroid antibodies and goiter when she first started to get sick. Read more..

For baking in candida diet, you may use buckwheat, quinoa, or amaranth flour to do a gluten free alternative. It is great to know the option of gluten free baking, but I wonder what about those who are also unfortunate enough to have the insulin resistance thing going on in their bodies. Potatoes and any white product are high glycemic, and so I wonder what type of bread replacement or thin biscuit replacement would not cause insulin to rise. Read more..
