A friend is just adapting to a new sugar-free, low-carb, yeast-free diet as she found out there is a connection between her seborrheic derm/rosacea/frequent yeast infections with what she eats. She is also hypoglycemic. She has eliminated many things, but would love to have a piece of bread once in a while. On her recent trip to the Fresh Fields store, she looked at the ingredients of sourdough bread, and although it did not mention yeast, it mentioned sourdough starter. She wants to know what that is. She thinks she could tolerate a peace of bread once in a while, but would like to make sure she is not feeding the problem. Read more..

This is another question just come to my inbox about sugar addict or stuff. This the message she sent to me:
“I’m wondering if you are a sugar addict like I am. I go on a diet for my candida for a while and then get these uncontrollable sugar cravings. I think my problem is that I try to stay on a strict macriobiotic diet or a strict Eat Right For Your Type diet and avoid foods that my BODY wants in moderation.
