A woman is wondering if something made with stevia for sweetness would be bad for a candida diet. What she believes is that it depends what you add to the stevia. She has some, but she took a few nibbles off the tops of her sons muffins and now she feels ok. However, that is all she has eaten and it surely didn’t fill her up. Her face is really tingling today, around her mouth and eyes. Yesterday, she was dizzy for the first time in over a month, so she must not be eating as healthy as need be. After feeling “lousy” for some time, a doctor ordered a battery of tests, including an ANA. Her results came back positive at 1:640, much to her astonishment and dismay! She is due to see her naturopathic doctor in another week to determine how she is coming along on the series of herbs and homeopathic medications he prescribed for her. She is generally exercising and eating fish/chicken and vegetables for pretty much each of her candida diet meal. She occasionally needs a treat and when she does, she will have some carbolite sugar-free frozen yogurt (no chocolate of course). He has changed his diet considerably, and although he is able to function on a day-to-day basis, he still carries certain pesky symptoms around that just won’t get the hint. A friend was hospitalized as a child and they put her on 3 different broad spectrum antibiotics. Now, she is so sick with CFS, spaciness, and weakness. However, she is still on birth control pills right now, and she is worried if she will transfer the candida back and forth with her partner. She crashed 4.5 years ago, but has been kind of sick since right after that hospitalization.
